Purpose and legal basis for processing your personal data

The purpose of processing your personal data is to provide information about Fredericia for tourism purposes, including sending relevant newsletters and offers, as well as handling bookings and payments for guided tours, etc.

The legal basis for our processing may be:

  • your consent (e.g. for newsletters)
  • performance of a contract (e.g. booking guided tours)
  • legal obligations (e.g. bookkeeping regulations)
  • our legitimate interest in communicating and improving our services

Types of personal data

We collect your personal data when you actively sign up or place an order with us. We process the following general personal data: your name, email, phone number, and possibly other relevant information such as CVR or CPR number (if necessary for invoicing or legal requirements when booking private guided tours).

Storage of your personal data

We store personal data based on your consent – for example, if you sign up for a newsletter or book a guided tour.

We store your personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes for which they were collected:

  • Newsletter data is stored until you withdraw your consent
  • Data related to purchases and bookings is stored for up to 5 years in accordance with bookkeeping laws
  • Other data is deleted when no longer necessary

Your data will never be stored longer than permitted by applicable law.

Unsolicited job applications

When we receive unsolicited job applications and attachments, the material is reviewed by the relevant manager in order to respond and assess the content. Applications and attachments may be shared internally with relevant employees but will not be shared externally.

Unsolicited applications are stored for up to 6 months and then deleted.
If stored longer than 6 months, we will obtain your explicit consent.

Consent

Your consent is voluntary, and you can withdraw it at any time by contacting us.
Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

Data processing

We use several external suppliers for storing and processing data, including providers of IT solutions such as VisitDenmark, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Microsoft, Drupal, Google Analytics, and Cookie Information.

These data processors only process your data according to our instructions and based on data processing agreements.

In some cases, your data may be transferred to countries outside the EU/EEA (third countries), including the USA.
In such cases, we ensure an adequate level of protection through, for example, the EU Commission’s standard contractual clauses or other legal transfer mechanisms.

In certain cases, we may share non-confidential information with the public, journalists, and other interested parties, for example in connection with press releases or access to information requests.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the following rights: access, rectification, and objection. In certain cases, you also have the right to erasure or restriction of processing.

If you have given consent in connection with surveys or similar, you can withdraw it at any time. Withdrawal will not affect previous lawful processing and takes effect from the time of withdrawal.

Automated decisions

We do not use automated decision-making or profiling based on your personal data.
