Wood Sculptures in Fredericia’s Nature
Now you can go on a hunt for six of Fredericia’s well-known animal species: the black woodpecker, which lives in Trelde Næs; the tawny owl, which lives in Fuglsang Forest, the kingfisher, which lives in Erritsø Marsh; and the white-tailed eagle, which lives near Rands Fjord.
You can also try to spot the starling with its chick, which is on display near the shelter site in Madsbyparken – or visit the harbour porpoise sculpture, standing in the Canal District overlooking the Little Belt.

The Owl - Wood Sculpture in Fuglsang Forest
Experience the owl, the wooden sculpture in Fuglsang Forest. The sculpture is made from recycled wood, shaped like an owl, and aims to highlight the owl population in Fredericia’s forests.

The White-tailed Eagle - Wood Sculpture at Kringsminde
The white-tailed eagle at Kringsminde Farm Museum is one of three wood sculptures in Fredericia. The white-tailed eagle is inspired by the special eagles that live at Rands Fjord.

The Black Woodpecker - Wood Sculpture at Trelde Næs

These impressive works of art were created by local artist Mariane Ladegaard Jensen and are made entirely from recycled wood. The sculptures highlight Fredericia’s wildlife and invite curiosity and reflection in nature.
